One day meeting was organized to discuss and finalize Technical Programme of NICRA Partner Institutes under the division of Crop Sciences. The meeting was chaired by Dr.N.P. Singh, Director, IIPR, Kanpur and co-chaired by Dr.K. Sammi Reddy, Director (Acting), CRIDA, Hyderabad. Dr. N.P. Singh in his welcome address suggested to formulate technical programme considering the reduced budget allocation for NICRA. He also advised to avoid duplication of work and the need for coordinated efforts between the partner institutes for effective outputs. Dr. Sammi Reddy, Director, CRIDA in his opening remarks emphasized the need to bring out tangible outputs from strategic research partner institutes which can be tested under Technology Demonstration Component (TDC) by KVKs across the country. He further requested the PIs for rationalization of available resources for optimum outputs and also suggested to make best use of the infrastructure established for climate change research. After detailed deliberations it has been decided to prepare a detailed technical programme for each institute along with monitoring indicators and submit to CRIDA for further processing. Dr.N.P. Ahuja, Director, NCIPM, New Delhi along with PIs from NICRA Partner Institutes viz., IARI, NRRI, IIRR, IIPR, IIMR, ICAR-NEH, IISR, IIWBR, NBPGR, NRCPB, NCIPM, CRIDA and NIASM participated in the meeting. This meeting was coordinated by Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, PI, NICRA & Project Coordinator (MULLARP), IIPR, Kanpur. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. M. Prabhakar, PI, NICRA, CRIDA, Hyderabad.
