dc.description.abstract | Food borne pathogens are virtually present everywhere, due to unhygienic conditions through the improper disposal of sewage, animal wastes and polluted waters etc which lead to potential health hazards. Recently the outbreak of several foodborne pathogens are being noted in several food products such as vegetables, milk, meat and seafoods due to improper cleaning, under cooking, unhygienic health conditions of the handlers, and cold chain maintenance etc. Generally the seafood considered a safe food since its harvested from the sea, often encounter with the presence of pathogens like Salmonella, V. cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, coagulase Staphylococci, E.coli, Listeria monocytogenes. | en_US |
