dc.description.abstract | Response of five fungi and two bacteria to different salts of magnesium and iron for production of nanoparticles was studied. Pochonia chlamydosporium, and Aspergillus fumigatus were tested for the production of magnesium naonparticles while Curvularia lunata, Chaetomium globosum, A. fumigatus, A. wentii and the bacteria Alcaligenes faecalis and Bacillus coagulans were tried for iron nanoparticles. P. chlamydosporium was observed to produce extracellular nanoparticles in MgCl2 while A. fumigatus showed production of extra as well as intracellular nanoparticles in MgSO4. C. globosum was found to be most effective in producing nanoparticles of iron when subjected to Fe2O3 solution. In general various microbes tested were selective in their response to chemical for production of nanoparticles. | en_US |
