dc.description.abstract | Wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ricini), root rot (Macrophomina phaseolina), gery mold (Botryits ricini) and nematode (Rotylenchulus renifirmis) ar the major biotic stress of castor (Rininus communis). Chemical measures are not effective to control them. Growing resistant cultivars is an effective and environment friendly approach. Castor germplasm accessions were screened under artificial epiphytotic conditions against wilt, root rot, grey mold and reniform nematode at multi-locations in multi-years to identify resistance sources. The reaction of an accessions, RG-2787, which showed multiple resistance to wilt, root rot, grey mold and reniform nematode was reported in the paper | en_US |
