Abstract/Description: | Mature fruits of banana Rasthali were subjected to the following treatments prior to storage at 13.50 degrees C in sealed polyethylene bags for 4 weeks: hot water dip at 46 degrees C for 30 minutes (T1), packing in polybags with a sachet containing 60 g of brick powder dipped in saturated KMnO4 solution (T2), or T1 + T2 (T3). Green life and yellow life of fruits were evaluated during cold storage and after exposure to ambient conditions. |
