dc.description.abstract | A STUDY WAS CONDUCTED ON SILTY LOAM OF DOON VALLEY TO DEVELOP THE APPROPRIATE CONSERVATION TILLAGE TECHNOLOGY BY THE USE OF DIFFERENT TILLAGE SYSTEMS WITH 0,2 AND 4 t/ha OF WEED MULCH FOR RAINFED WHEAT. IT IS INFERRED THAT DEEP TILLAGE SYSTEM INCREASED MOISTURE CONTENT OF SEED ZONE, REDUCED BULK DENSITY BY 3-8 % AND INCREASED THE INFILTRATION RATE 2-3 FOLDS AS COMPARED TO SHALLOW MINIMUM AND MINIMUM TILLAGE SYSTEMS. DEEP TILLAGE SYSTEMS ALONG WITH 4t/ha OF MULCH APPLICATION PRODUCED MAXIMUM GRAIN YIELDS. | en_US |
