dc.description.abstract | The potential applications of nanomaterial and nanotechnologies in modern agriculture can provide state-of-the-art solutions to improve the quality of human life in the near future. The impending applications of nanotechnology in the fields of food and agriculture, viz., nano-fertilizer, plant nutrition, plant protection, and agrifood, have been reviewed. Nevertheless the indiscriminate use of nanoparticles due to their changed physicochemical properties may be toxic and risky to biological systems and the environment. The benefits of advances in nanotechnology and probable risks have been reviewed and future approaches highlighted. | en_US |
