| Abstract/Description: | EFFECTS OF LEVELS AND METHODS OF NITROGEN FERTILIZATION ON RAINFED BAJRA (HB-3) IN SEVEN TREATMENT COMBINATIONS WERE STUDIED ON YAMUNA RAVINE TERRACES AT AGRA. BOTH GRAIN AND STRAW YIELDS INCREASED WITH INCREASE IN LEVEL OF NITROGEN FERTILIZATION IRRESPECTIVE OF THE METHOD OF APPLICATION. APPLICATION OF 50 kg N/ha HALF DRILLED AT SOWING 4 cm AWAY AND 3 cm DEEPER THAN SEED AND REMAINING HALF THROUGH FOLIAGE OF FLOWER INITIATION , RECORDED MAXIMUM YIELDS AND HIGHEST NET PROFIT F RS 1200/ha. |
