| Abstract/Description: | THE ANALYSIS OF RAINFALL IN BELLARY REGION SUGGESTED THAT THE INTENSITY OF CROPPING IN LIGHT AND MEDIUM SOILS COULD BE INCREASED TO 200% FROM THE PRESENT 100% LEVEL UNDER NORMAL RAINFALL CONDITIONS. USE OF NITROGEN AND PHOSPHOROUS FERTILIZERS INCREASED YIELDS BY 100% . PROPER CHOICE OF CROPS DEPENDING UPON SOIL CONDITION AND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ARE SUGGESTED. |
