| dc.description.abstract | INFLUENCE OF CLIMATIC PARAMETERS ON CROP YIELDS OF JOWAR , SAFFLOWER , COTTON AND GRAM USING STEPWISE MULTIPLE REGRESSION ANALYSIS WAS STUDIED FOR THE PERIOD 1958-74 . IT WAS INDICATED THAT JOWAR SHOULD BE SOWN DURING FIRST FORTNIGHT OF SEPTEMBER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RAINS. SAFFLOWER AND COTTON YIELDS WERE INFLUENCED BY TMAX WHEREAS THE WIND HAS A SIGNIFICANT BEARING ON THE GRAM YIELDS. DURING FLOWERING TO MATURITY , YIELDS OF ALL THE CROPS WERE INFLUENCED BY SUNSHINE, WIND AND EVAPORATION. | en_US |
