dc.description.abstract | A FIELD EXPERIMENT CONDUCTED AT BELLARY ( KARNATAKA) IN BLACK COTTON SOIL UNDER IRRIGATED CONDITIONS DURING 1975-76 AND 1976-77 WITH 2 COTTON HYBRIDS ( VARALAKSHMI AND HYBRID 4) , 5 LEVELS OF NITROGEN (0,40,80,120 AND 160 kg/ha ) AND 2 LEVELS OF PHOSPHOROUS ( 100 AND 150kg P2O5 /HA) SHOWED THAT THE YIELD OF SEED COTTON INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY UPTO 160 kg N/ha IN VARALAKSHMI AND 120 N/HA IN HYBRID 4. THE APPLICATION OF PHOSPHOROUS AT 150 KG P2O5 /HA RESULTED SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER YIELD OVER 100 kg P2O5/ha. | en_US |
