dc.description.abstract | DISCUSSING TOPICS LIKE NUTRIENT INPUT MANAGEMENT , BIOMASS RECYCLING, ORGANIC MANURES AND FERTILIZERS , NUTRIENT LOSSES , AGROFORESTRY AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT , THE AUTHORS BRING OUT THAT SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION IS CLOSELY RELATED TO NUTRIENT AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT . CONSERVATION PRACTICES HELP TO ECONOMIZE ON DEMAND FOR CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS, NOT ONLY BY WAY OF INCREASING THE INPUT EITHER DUE TO IMPROVED NUTRIENT CYCLING AND OTHER ADDITIONS BUT ALSO BY REDUCING LOSSES . OPTIMUM LAND USE AND VEGETATION MANAGEMENT WOULD LEAD TO A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN FUEL AVAILABILITY . THUS, THERE IS A STRONG CASE FOR ADOPTING THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF SOIL CONSERVATION FOR OPTIMUM MANAGEMENT OF NUTRIENTS AND ENERGY. | en_US |
