| Abstract/Description: | DIFFERENT CROP ROTATIONS ( PEARL MILLET - PEARMILLET PEAR;MILLET- COTTON; PEARLMILLET- BIDI TOBCCO- PEARLMILLET+ GREENGRAM CONTINUOUS STRIP CROPPING; PEARLMILLET+ GREENGRAM STRIP CROPPING- COTTON+ GROUNDNUT MIXTURE; PEARLMILLET + GREENGRAM STRIP CROPPING- GREEN MANURED COTTON; PEARLMILLET + GREENGRAM STRIP CROPPING - GREEN MANURING BIDI- TOBACCO, WERE TRIED AT VASAD DURING 1959-60 TO1964-65. THE RESULTS INDICATED THAT THE ROTATIONS INVOLVING PEARLMILLET- BIDI - TOBACCO AND PEARLMILLET+ GREENGRAM STRIP CROPPING - GREEN MANURING BIDI- TOBACCO GAVE THE HIGHEST PROFITS OF RS 25,16 AND 38,68 /ha RESPECTIVELY ). SEED COTTON YIELD WAS AFFECTED ADVERSELY WHEN GROUND NUT WAS SOWN BETWEEN THE COTTON LINES. |
