| Abstract/Description: | TO ASCERTAIN ADAPTABILITY AND ECONOMIC VIABILITY OF FRUIT-TYPE ON POOR AND BROKEN TOPOGRAPHY OF RAVINE LANDS, CULTIVARS OF FRUIT- TYPES SUCH AS BER ( ZIZYPHUS MAURITIANA LAMK), CITRUS RETICULATA , MOSAMBI ( CITRUS SINEOSIS), LEMON, ( CITRUS LIMON) , KARAUNDA ( CARISSA CARANDUS), PAPAYA ( CARICA PAPAYA) AND PEACH ( PRUNUS PERSICA) WERE PLANTED AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS OF RAVINE LANDS. MOST OF THE FRUITS WERE FOUND PERFORMING WELL AND AMONG THESE BER AND PAPAYA APPEARED MOST PROMISING GENERATING QUICK RETURNS FROM RAVINE LANDS. |
