| Abstract/Description: | THE PAPER SUGGESTS WAYS TO IMPROVE GRASSLANDS AND PASTURES THROUGH MECHANICAL MEANS, SUCH AS CONTOUR FURROWING AND BY APPLICATION OF CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS. THE GRASSLANDS AND PASTURES ARE OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE , PARTICULARLY IN INDIA AND THE REASONS FOR THIS ARE DISCUSSED. GRASSLANDS AND PASTURES ARE NATIONAL ASSETS AND ANY COUNTRY DEPENDING ON AGRICULTURE AND THAT TOO WITH ANIMAL POWER TO HELP IT MUST LOOK TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF GRASSLANDS. |
