CORN, ON AN AVERAGE, HAVING LIFE CYCLE OF 93 DAYS RECEIVED 1256 mm RAINFALL, 3 mm OF DEW AMD 16mm IRRIGATION ( 63 mm) IRRIGATION (63 mm IN ONE YEAR ONLY) ; WHICH YIELDED 789 mm RUNOFF (62%) , 111 mm DEEP PERCOLATION (9%) AND 375 mm (29%) SOIL PROFILE RECHARGE . 385 mm WATER (30%) WAS UTILISED FOR EVAPO- TRANSPIRATION. |
