| Abstract/Description: | AN ALTERNATE METHOD OF UTILISING THE RAINFALL DATA FROM ORDINARY RAINGUAGES IN PREPARING ISO- ERODENT MAPS ON ANNUAL AND SEASONAL BASIS HAS BEEN PRESENTED. DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF DATA FROM A LARGE NUMBER OF ORDINARY RAINGUAGES AND IN VIEW OF THE SIMPLE METHODOLOGY SUGGESTED, EXTENSIVE PLANNING OF THE SOIL CONSERVATION MEASURES AT THE DISTRICT LEVEL CAN BE EFFECTIVELY ACHIEVED. THE PAPER PRESENTS THE ANNUAL AND SEASONAL MAPS SHOWING ISOPLETHS OF EI30 AND THEIR SCOPE AND UTILITY IN COUNTRY WIDE PLANNING IS DISCUSSED. |
