| Abstract/Description: | DESCRIBES THE TECHNIQUES FOR MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF RUNOFF FROM NINE SMALL WATERSHEDS IN DOON VALLEY. PRECALIBRATED TRIANGULAR WEIRS AND H- FLUMES HAVE BEEN USED AS AN ARTIFICIAL CONTROL. A SEDIMENT BASIN WAS FOUND ESSENTIAL IN ONE WATERSHED , WHERE EXCESSIVE SEDIMENTATION DISTRIBUTED THE CROSS SECTION OF THE APPROACH CHANNEL. THE SOURCE OF ERROR AND PRECAUTIONS ESSENTIAL FOR ENSUING A HIGH DEGREE OF ACCURACY IN RUNOFF MEASUREMENT HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED. |
