| Abstract/Description: | VL Masoor 148 (VL 148) a lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) variety has been developed by the ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora, Uttarakhand. It is derived from the cross DPL 15/ L4076. It was recommended for release by the VIC held on 8 th September, 2017 at IGKV, Raipur Chhattisgarh subsequently released and notified by the Central Sub-Committee on Crop Standards and Release of Varieties for Agricultural Crops vide notification number S.O. 99 (E) dated 6th January, 2020. The specific area of adaptation of this variety is the timely sown rainfed condition of Northern Hill Zone (NHZ) comprising Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, J&K and NE hills. In NHZ. |
