dc.description.abstract | The present study was conducted on field testing of an e-booklet on female foeticide. For the selection of rural respondents, Bikaner panchayat samiti and for urban respondents Bikaner city were divided into four major parts i.e. east, west, north and south zone. Total eight wards and eight villages (two wards and two villages from each zone) were selected randomly. For measuring readability and comprehension of e-booklet, from the selected wards and villages, total 80 respondents comprising of 40 respondents from rural area and 40 respondents from urban area were selected by random sampling method. The findings of field-testing indicated that about ninety per cent rural and urban respondents considered an e-booklet easy to read. Results regarding comprehension of an e-booklet revealed that majority of the rural (87.5%) and urban (95%) respondents obtained overall comprehension score above than mean score i.e. 48.75 (45–49 score range) and 48.95 (48–49 score range), respectively. Thus, the extension professionals can also use this e-booklet to aware rural as well as urban women about female foeticide. | en_US |
