| Abstract/Description: | Several genera and species of lobsters have been reported from the Indian Ocean. Although the validity of some of the species recorded are doubtful there are over 30 species of palinurids belonging to 7 genera and. about six genera with more than 40 species of scyllarids. Consequently a wide variety of phyllosoma larvae is to be expected. |
