dc.description.abstract | Fatty acid composition and oil content of nine breeding lines and one released Variety (check) of safflower viz. 0Ie-9-P2-P 1-P22, 0Ie-9-P2-P4-P37, 0Ie-9-P2-P4-P48, 0Ie-9-P2-P3-P21, 0Ie-9-P2-P4-P 1, 0Ie-9-P2-P4-P 16, 0Ie-9- bulk-1-P7-P9, 0Ie-9-bulk-1-P7-P11, 0Ie-9-bulk-2-P3-PI6 and Al was assayed. Oleic acid content ranged from 17.7 to 82.99%, the highest oleic acid was determined in genotype 0Ie-9-P2-P4-P1 (82.99%) followed by 0Ie-9-bulk-2- P3-P16 (81.79%) and 0Ie-9-P2-P3-P21 (81.72%). The lowest oleic content of 17.7% was obtained from check AI. The highest oil content was obtained from genotype 0Ie-9-P2-PI-P22, 0Ie-9-P2-P4-P37, 0Ie-9-P2-P3-P21 and 0Ie-9- P2-P4-PI6 (34.1 %) nad the lowest 28.0 was in AI. | en_US |
