| Abstract/Description: | Mustard is one of the major oilseed crops in Arunachal Pradesh. Bacterial stalk rot caused by Erwinia caratovora pv carotovora (Jones) Bergy and Pseudomonas marginalis pv marginalis (Brown) Stevens is an emerging threat for mustard cultivation in the state. The characteristic symptoms of the dis- ease were water-soaked lesions on the stalk and branches of plants, which was usually accompanied by a white frothing. Infected plants failed to produce any inflorescences. This incidence of the disease which was noticed the 2nd week of November 2013 ranged from 10.11% in Pusa Mustard 26 to 68.27% in Pusa Agrani |
