Clean home environment-A key to good health

Abstract

Environment means our surroundings where we live. We always think that our house is the safest place to live. But the recent findings revealed that household equipment and products being used in our homes such as household cleaners, paints, health and beauty aids are continuously polluting our surroundings as a result we are breathing in polluted air instead of fresh and clean air. Moreover, these remain trapped in our homes causing further deterioration in indoor air quality. Similarly, at some places people are compelled to drink contaminated water. Polluted air is the cause of many respiratory problems and polluted water is major cause of gastro-enteritis, jaundice, typhoid and cancer of gastro-intestinal tract. So, clean and safe environment is the key to prevent these problems.
