A two-day NICRA Expert Committee meeting was held at NASC, New Delhi to review project proposals for funding under CGC of NICRA. The meeting was chaired by Dr K Alagusundaram, DDG (NRM) and co-chaired by Dr S Bhaskar, ADG (AAF&CC), ICAR and Expert Committee members Drs. CL Acharya, Former Director, IISS (ICAR), Bhopal; AG Ponniah, Former Director, CIBA, Chennai  & B Venkateswarlu, Former Director, CRIDA, Hyderabad. Dr K Sammi Reddy, Director (Actg.), CRIDA, Hyderabad & Dr M Prabhakar, Principal Investigator, NICRA also participated in the meeting. There were about 20 presentations under 12 thematic areas which were thoroughly reviewed by the expert committee members and shortlisted 13 proposals for funding. Technical program, budget and manpower requirements for the shortlisted projects have been deliberated and suggestions were made to the PIs for necessary modifications.
