Abstract/Description: Here, universal optimality of circular balanced change-over designs allowing theestimation of first and second order residual effects of treatments has been establishedunder an additive fixed effects model. A class of circular balanced change-over designswith parameters (v, p = 3v, n = v2) has been shown to be universally optimal for theestimation of direct, first order as well as second order residual effects.
