| Abstract/Description: | A simple laboratory method for quantification of indole-3-acetic acid in rice genotypes involving ectraction, clean up and estimation by HPLC, using fluorescence (FLD) and variable wavelength (VWD) detectors in short run time of 15 minutes is reported. Method performance was established by analysing fortified rice samples through intra- and inter- d precision. It was validated through calibration curve, linearilty, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), accuracy andprecision. Retention time (RT) varied from 8.04 to 8.17 minutes. Among the two detectors, FLD showed higher sensitivity with average recoveries from 80 to 95 percrnt with acceptable precision. |
