| Abstract/Description: | Cytological studies were made on lac insect stocks, Orissa Yellow and Ludhiana. The chromosome number, and its behaviour in the somatic and germinal tissues were similar to those reported for the local stock of K. lacca. Studies were made on the effect of soil application of N,P and K, individually and in all possible combinations, on the economic attributes of rangeeni and kusmi lac insects cultured on bhalia and galwang. |
