Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a key factor for the survival of small scale farming in an ever-changing and increasingly complex global economy. Skills and knowledge are driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. Entrepreneurship plays a significant role in the economic development of a country and a most powerful weapon to fight against poverty and unemployment. It is widely accepted fact that well motivated entrepreneurs are must for accelerating the process of economic development Entrepreneurship Development in Agriculture is an important way out to bring a transformation in our rural areas. Developing Agri- enterprises and making our farmers entrepreneurial is needed urgently to pave the way for evergreen revolution. Agriculture has always been the backbone of the Indian economy and despite concerted industrialization, in the last six decades; agriculture still occupies a place of pride. The significance of agriculture in the national economy arises from the role it plays in India’s national income, employment and export.
