dc.description.abstract | The physical and chemical properties of the associated red and black soils were related to the content of organic and inorganic form of carbon in soils. Soil organic carbon (SOC) is positively correlated with total clay but soil inorganic carbon (SIC) shows a negative correlation. SOC and bulk density (BD) are negatively correlated. The correlation between SIC and BD in various bioclimatic systems indicate a positive correlation. Direct and indirect relations between SOC, SIC, soil drainage, and BD were observed among 52 benchmark soils from the semi-arid tropics, India. | en_US |
