Abstract/Description: | The present investigation entitled, “Effect of Phosphorus and Zinc on Yield and Quality of Cowpea (Vigna ungiculata cv. Kashi Kanchan) in Allahabad Agro-Climatic Conditions” was carried out at Central Research Farm, Department of Horticulture , Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Allahabad during the year 2016.The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with 12 treatments and each treatment replicated thrice. The treatments consist of different levels on Phosphorus and Zinc with T0 as control. Effect of phosphorus was significantly on yield attributes pod yield q ha -1P2 (189.50), highest vitamin c content mg/100g edible portion was found in P1 (1.34), TSS (o Brix) was higher P3 (39.62), protein content was recorded higher P2 (75.55).Effect of Zinc was significant on yield attributes pod yield q/ha -1 Zn0 (191.50) with the quality attribute TSS (oBrix) was higher in Zn1 (39.12), protein content was recorded higher in Zn2 (73.84), Interaction effect of phosphorus and zinc was found to be significant in respect of grain yield q/ha-1, highest grain yield was found in the interaction ofP3Zn0(219.5) |
