| Abstract/Description: | THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE UNIFORMITY TRIAL CONDUCTED IN 1986 ON TWO - YEAR OLD COPPICE PLANTS OF EUCALYPTUS. THE PLANTS WERE RAISED AT 2 X 2 M SPACING AND WERE GIVEN UNIFORM CULTURAL TREATMENTS. THE DATA ON DIAMETER AT BREAST HEIGHT ( DBH) AND HEIGHT OF ALL THE INDIVIDUAL PLANTS IN 24 X 24 TREES COMPARTMENTS WERE ANALYSED TO FIND OUT THE OPTIMUM PLOT AND BLOCK SIZES FOR CONDUCTING FIELD EXPERIMENTS. CV DECREASED WITH THE INCREASE IN PLOT SIZE UPTO A PLOT 0F 8-12 TREES WITH OR WITHOUT BLOCK ARRANGEMENTS FOR BOTH THE OBSERVATIONS. |
