| Abstract/Description: | UTILISING THE RAINFALL RUNOFF AND SOIL LOSS DATA FROM TWO STANDARD MICRO- SIZED PLOTS AND TWENTY EVENTS PERTAINING TO VERTISOLS OF BELLARY ( KARNATAKA) REGION, THE COMPONENTS OF UNIVERSAL SOIL LOSS EQUATION R AND K WERE OBTAINED FRO 1981 AND 1982 . THE R VALUES WERE 433.61 ND 184.95 WHILE THE K VALUES ARE 106.61 AND 87.12 KG/ ha PER UNIT OF R RESPECTIVELY. THE NUTRIENT LOSSES IN THE RUNOFF WATERS AS WELL AS IN THE COMPOSITED SEDIMENT WERE DETERMINED. |
