dc.description.abstract | A UNIFORMITY TRIAL ON NATURAL GRASSLANDS OF SHIWALIK HILLS WAS CONDUCTED FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS AND THE AVERAGE YIELD DATA WAS ANALYSED. THE COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION DECREASED WITH THE INCREASE IN PLOT SIZE UPTO 12m2 . THE EQUATION Y=AX-b SUGGESTED BYS MITH , GAVE A GOOD FIT TO THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION (Y) AND PLOT SIZE (X) . PLOT SHAPE HAD NO CONSISTENT EFFECT ON COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION. HOWEVER, COMPACT PLOTS HAS SHOWN SMALLER COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION. THE NUMBER OF REPLICATIONS AND THE REQUIRED EXPERIMENTAL AREA ALSO INDICATED THAT THE PLOT SIZE OF 12m2 WAS SUITABLE. | en_US |
