dc.description.abstract | AMONG THE FOUR LEVELS OF SOIL APPLIED ZINC SULPHATE , VIZ 0,10,20 AND 40 kg/ha TRIED ON RICE , 20 kg/ha GAVE HIGHEST PADDY GRAIN YIELD . THE RESIDUE FROM 40 KG ZINC SULPHATE PER ha APPLIED TO RICE GAVE MAXIMUM GRAIN YIELD OF THE FOLLOWING WHEAT CROP. NO RESIDUAL EFFECT WAS FOUND ON SUBSEQUENTLY GROWN III AND IV CROPS. TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION , THE DIFFERENT FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FERTILISER USE EFFICIENCY OF ZINC SULPHATE , AN APPLICATION RATE OF 28.2 kg/ha / YEAR MAY BE RECOMMENDED FOR RICE- WHEAT ROTATION IN DOON VALLEY . THE INCREASE IN DOSES OF ZINC SULPHATE SHOWED PROGRESSIVE INCREASE IN ITS CONTENT IN PLANTS. | en_US |
