Value addition in teaching: institution employer interface

Abstract

Liberalization and globalization of economy have brought a trend in the work force to be competitive and effective in work situations. The sustainability of such trend could be made possible if students are developed continuously to face the challenges of tomorrow. This necessitates a high level of preparedness. In this perspective, capacity building of various organizations and individuals is of paramount importance. As explained by many authors capacity building within the community is the main requirement for progress towards three goals i.e. sustainability, effective use and replicability. It can also be seen as a process where by a target group can effectively participate in planning and implementation of project activities. For developmental administration point of view, the capacity building of developmental specialists may result in active participation of employees in planning and implementation of project activities in true spirit.
