dc.description.abstract | EULALIOPSIS BINATA ( BHABAR) IS A VERY USEFUL GRASS COMING UP NATURALLY IN SHIWALIKS. A STUDY WAS CARRIED OUT TO EXAMINE THE POSSIBILITY AS TO WHETHER OR NOT PRODUCTION OF THIS GRASS CAN BE RAISED PROFITABLY BY APPLYING VARIOUS DOZES OF NITROGEN AND PHOSPHOROUS AND TAKING TWO CUTTINGS INSTEAD OF ONE CUTTING WHICH IS NORMALLY TAKEN IN A YEAR. THE STUDY HAS SHOWN THAT 2 CUTTINGS TAKEN IN MAY AND NOVEMBER LEAD TO OVER 21 q/ha OD EXTRA OVEN DRY YIELD OVER ONE CUTTING ONLY TAKEN IN NOVEMBER. APPLICATION OF N 120 P2O5- 30 HAS RESULTED IN OBTAINING THE HIGHEST AND COST EFFECTIVE YIELD FOLLOWED BY N 120 AND P2O5 -60 | en_US |
