Abstract/Description: The agricultural sector faces annual losses due to insect and pests. The damage caused by insect and pests is one of the key factors leading to the reduced production. Predicting of pest incidence based on changing climate is a challenge as its impact on pests is both direct and indirect. Although, several types of research have been done in the area of pest prediction, pest forewarning, pest forecasting, and integrated pest management but their digital dissemination is still a challenge. The recent advancement in the ICT has shown a significant role in spreading of agricultural information to the farmers. Mobile Apps on Pest forewarning, Mobile Apps on Insecticide and fungicide calculations (IFCs) and Mobile Apps on Integrated Pest Management (Crops: Rice, Pigeonpea, Groundnut & Tomato) have been developed under ICAR-NICRA "Pest dynamics in relation to climate change" project. The android applications have been tested and validated for providing the relevant suggestions related to pest management. All the developed android applications are available at ICAR-NCIPM website as well as on google play store.
