| Abstract/Description: | CSWCRTI , DEHRADUN STARTED LAB TO LAND PROGRAMME ( PHASE-1) IN CHHARBA VILLAGE OF DEHRADUN, DISTRICT 1979-80. AFTER A PERIOD OF 5 YEARS ( 1985-86) , THE PROGRAMME WAS EVALUATED FOR THE CHANGES IN OVERALL DEVELOPMENT OF THE FARMERS AND TO FIND OUT THE CONTRAINTS. THE RESULTS REVEALED THAT THE PROGRAMME HAS MADE SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE OVERALL LIVING STANDARD OF POOR RESOURCE BASED FARMERS BY RAISING TO 30% THEIR INCOME, INCREASED YIELDS OF WHEAT BY 73% , OF MAIZE BY 112% AND OF PADDY BY 74% OVER THE YEAR 1978-79 AND ALSO THROUGH OTHER SUPPLEMENTING ACTIVITIES LIKE HORTICULTURAL AND FARM FORESTRY ETC. |
