Abstract/Description: | Wilt incidence in different generations of crosses between wilt susceptible C.tinctorius and resistant wild species was recorded in wilt sick plot. F1 generation of C. tinctorius x C. oxyacantha was wilt resistant. Wilt incidence in F2 generation of this cross was 8.5% while it was 8.1% in F3, 11% in F4, 10% in F5 generation and 7% in BC1 F2 generation in wilt sick plot. Wilt incidence in F1, F2, F3, F4 generations of C. tinctorius x C. palaestinus cross was 6%, 15%, 13% and 16%, respectively. In F2 and F3 generations of C. tinctorius x C.turkestanicus cross, wilt incidence was 10% and 14%, respectively. The F3 and F4 generations of the cross, C. tinctorius x C.lanatus exhibited 8% and 15% wilt incidence, respectively in wilt sick plot. Identified 38 SSR markers showing ploymorphism among 7 wild and cultivated species. Identified SSR marker flanked to wilt resistance in C. palaestinus and resistant F2 plants and F2 resistant bulk of (C.tinctorius x C.palaestinus) using |
