| Abstract/Description: | Bio-diesel is either a fatty acid or metbyl ester obtained from virgin or used oils and animal fats. Though, it does not contain petroleum but can be blended with petroleum and diesel or can be used in its pure from. The use of bio-diesel in conventional diesel engines has significance to have pollution free environment since it helps to in substantial reduction of unburnt hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and particulate matters. |
