Abstract/Description: | Under the influence of the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Saurashtra & neighbourhood, widespread rainfall activity likely over Gujarat State during next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. Isolated heavy to very falls with extremely heavy falls very likely over Saurashtra & Kutch during next 24 hours and isolated heavy to very heavy falls during the subsequent 24 hours. Isolated heavy falls also likely over Gujarat region during next 24 hours. • Under the influence of the low pressure area over western parts of Jharkhand & neighbourhood, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls likely over Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar during next 24 hours. • The monsoon trough is south of its normal position. It is very likely to shift northwards along the foothills of Himalayas from 09th July onwards. In addition, high Convergence of south westerlies/southerlies winds from Bay of Bengal at lower tropospheric levels very likely over northeast & east India from 09th July onwards. Under its influence, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over northeastern states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh on 09th & 10th July, 2020. Isolated extremely heavy falls are also very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 09th & 10th July, 2020. • Intense thunderstorm & lightning potential zone: Moderate to intense thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Saurashtra & Kutch, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, north Chhattisgarh, northeast Madhya Pradesh, north interior Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal during next 12 hours. |
