dc.description.abstract | The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through Lat. 23°N/Long. 60°E, Kandla, Ahmedabad, Indore, Raisen, Khajuraho, Fatehpur, Bahraich and Lat. 28°N/Long. 81.5°E. • A trough runs from north Punjab to northwest Bay of Bengal at lower tropospheric levels. Its eastern end is very likely to shift northward from 25th June, 2020. • The cyclonic circulation over north interior Odisha & neighbourhood now seen between 0.9 km & 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height. It is very likely to move northwestwards during next 3 days. • Under the influence of above meteorological features, conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 24 hours and into entire Western Himalayan Region, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, most parts of Punjab, remaining parts of Arabian Sea, Gujarat state, Madhya Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Rajasthan during subsequent 48 hours. • Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to continue over northeast & adjoining east India during next 4-5 days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 25th and over Assam & Meghalaya on 25th & 26th June, 2020. • Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over south peninsular India during next 4-5 days. • Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls also very likely over Western Himalayan Region, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi,Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan from 23rd June onwards. | en_US |
