| Abstract/Description: | A Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation between 3.1 km & 3.6 km above mean sea level lies over Afghanistan & neighbourhood with a trough aloft with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 62°E to the north of Lat. 30°N. It is very likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from today and the plains of Northwest India from tomorrow. Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rain/snow with isolated thunderstorm, lightning & hail very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, GilgitBaltistan & Muzaffarabad on 03rd; Himachal Pradesh on 03rd & 04th and Uttarakhand on 04th & 05th February. Isolated heavy rain/snow also very likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 4th February, 2021. • Interaction between this Western Disturbance and lower level southeasterlies from the Bay of Bengal is likely to cause isolated to fairly widespread light to moderate rain/thundershowers with isolated lightning & hail over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, north Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh on 04th and over East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh and north Chhattisgarh on 05th February, 2021. |
