Abstract/Description: | The western end of the monsoon trough now shifted southwards and lies near to its normal position, however its eastern end is north to its normal position. • The cyclonic circulation over Southwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh & North Tamilnadu coasts upto middle tropospheric levels and a trough runs from this cyclonic circulation to west Vidarbha at lower tropospheric levels. Another cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood and a trough runs from this cyclonic circulation to Sikkim at lower tropospheric levels. • Under the influence of above meteorological conditions, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Uttarakhand, Jammu Division, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Rajasthan, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states (mainly over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya), Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, South Gujarat, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala & Mahe during 29th30th July. Isolated extremely heavy falls are also likely over Kerala & Mahe on today, the 29 July. • Moderate to severe thunderstorm accompanied with lightning at isolated places very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Rayalaseema during next 12 hours. |
