Abstract/Description: | The present Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation in mid & upper tropospheric levels over north Pakistan & adjoining Punjab is likely to move eastnortheastwards, causing isolated to scattered rain/snow over Western Himalayan Region (Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) during next 24 hours. • In quick succession, another Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan region on 09th & 10th April. Also an induced cyclonic circulation is likely to form over central Pakistan & neighbourhood around 10th April. Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread rain/snow is likely over Western Himalayan Region and isolated rain/thundershowers over Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh on 09th & 10th April. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, hail & gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) very likely at isolated places over Western Himalayan Region during next 2 days. • Due to confluence between southwesterly & easterly winds at lower tropospheric levels, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/thunderstorm accompanied with lightning & squally winds very likely over northeast India mainly during 08th to 10th April. Also, isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers with lightning & gusty winds over East Uttar Pradesh during next 24 hours; over West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand during next 48 hours. • Under the influence of the lower level trough/Wind Discontinuity, isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers with lightning & gusty winds are very likely over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during next 2 days. Hailstorm at isolated places are also likely over Telangana and interior Tamilnadu during next 24 hours. • Heat Wave conditions are likely to develop over parts of Gujarat state and West Rajasthan around 11th & 12th April. |
