| Abstract/Description: | Tobacco is one of the important commercial crops cultivated in Southern light soils of Andhra Pradesh under rainfed conditions. Helicoverpa armigera Hub. causes damage to green leaf of tobacco and also seed capsules late in the season, thus causing heavy loss to seed crop. It is reported that H. armigera damaged 26.62 % plants in FCV Tobacco in SLS region ( Anon., 2002). |
