dc.description.abstract | The research study was conducted during the year 2015 to study relationship between the personal, socio-economic and psychological characteristics and livelihood security of the tribal farmers in high altitude tribal zone of Karnataka state. The study revealed that education, land holding, annual income, extension contact, mass media exposure, social participation, economic orientation, risk orientation and level of aspiration had shown positively significant relationship and fatalism had shown negatively significant relationship with livelihood security of tribal farmers. On the other side age, farming experience, family type and land holding had shown non-significant relationship with livelihood security of tribal farmers. Step wise regression analysisrevealed that annual income, mass media exposure, family size, risk orientation and fatalism were the major variables to explain the livelihood security of tribal farmers. The combined effect of these five variables might have contributed for the Livelihood security of tribal farmers. | en_US |
