| Abstract/Description: | While examining a collection of prawns from the Andhra coast, fourteen specimens of Solenocera Lucas which differed from all the known species of the genus were obtained. It is considered that these forms belong to a new species and described in detail below. The species has been named after the locality from which it was first collected. |
