| Abstract/Description: | AICRP on Poultry Breeding is one of the successful projects being operated at twelve centres viz. KVASU, Mannuthy; AAU, Anand; KVAFSU, Bengaluru; GADVASU, Ludhiana; OUAT, Bhubaneswar; ICARCARI, Izatnagar; ICAR RC for NEH Region, Agartala:NDVSU, Jabalpur; AAU, Guwahati; BAU, Ranchi; MPUAT, Udaipur; and CSKHPKVV, Palampur. The main objectives of the project are development of location specific chicken varieties conservation, improvement, characterization and application of local native, elite layer and broiler germplasms, development of package of practices for village poultry and entrepreneurship in rural, tribal and backward areas. |
